EA app key questions

Do I need the EA app, or can I still use Origin?

Use the EA app. It has replaced Origin. Your games belong to your EA Account, so sign in to the EA app with the account you used on Origin and they're in Library.

Can I redeem an EA app key on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch?

No. An EA app key is for PC and Mac. Console versions of EA games come as console codes, which you redeem in that console's own store.

Will my game run on a Mac?

It depends on the game. The EA app runs on macOS 10.15.8 or later, and each game has its own system requirements. In the EA app, open the game in the store and scroll to the bottom of its page to see them.

I redeemed the code on the wrong EA Account. Can it be moved?

Contact EA Help. EA says to get in touch if you think you redeemed a code on the wrong account of your own. It may ask for proof of purchase, so keep your Andalu order number ready.

I play EA games on Steam. Do I still need the EA app?

Yes. EA requires the EA app to play its games on PC, even ones bought on Steam or Epic. The first time you start one, you're guided to install it and link your accounts.
