Battle.net key questions

Can I redeem a Battle.net code without the desktop app?

Yes. Redeem it on the Battle.net website or in the Battle.net mobile app. To play, install the game from the Battle.net desktop app on your computer.

Do I need the Battle.net Authenticator to redeem a code?

Blizzard doesn't list it as a requirement for redeeming. We still recommend it: it adds two-factor authentication to your account. Set it up in the Battle.net mobile app, as shown in Set up Battle.net.

Can I change my Battle.net account's region to match a code?

Not to fit a code. Blizzard ties your account's region to the country you live in. You can update it if you move, but your payment methods reset and your balance may be lost. A World of Warcraft code's region never changes. If your key's region doesn't match your account, contact us.

I redeemed the code on the wrong account. Can it be moved?

No. Blizzard's rule is that a redeemed code can't be sold, traded or gifted. Log in with that account in the Battle.net app to play it.
