GOG key questions
Do I need GOG GALAXY to play?
No. GOG games are DRM-free, so you can download the installer from your library on the website and play without any app. GOG GALAXY is optional: it installs games for you and keeps them up to date.
Can I redeem a GOG code on another store?
No. A GOG code only redeems on GOG, and a key for another store doesn't redeem on GOG. Check that your order says GOG before you start.
Will my GOG game run on a Mac or Linux?
Only if the game is made for it. Your library lists an installer for each system the game supports. GOG GALAXY itself is available for Windows and Mac.
How long until the game shows in my library?
It's added as soon as you see "Code redeemed successfully!". When GOG is busy, the redeem page shows an estimated wait of 30 minutes to 5 hours. If it's still missing after that, refresh your account at gog.com/user/refresh.
Can I download the game again later?
Yes. You can download your games from your library as many times as you like, with GOG GALAXY or as offline installers.
