Xbox key questions
Can I redeem an Xbox code without a console?
Yes. Redeem it on the website, or in the Microsoft Store app or Xbox app on Windows. The game waits on your account until you install it on your Xbox or PC.
Can I redeem an Xbox code on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's web browser at xbox.com/redeem. Microsoft's redeem page says codes can't be redeemed in the Xbox mobile app at this time, but you can use the app afterwards to send the download to your Xbox.
Can I change my Microsoft account's region to match a code?
Only if you've actually moved. Microsoft blocks a change within three months of the last one, and the money in your account doesn't move with you. Buy codes for your account's region, shown on every product page.
I redeemed the code on the wrong account. Can it be moved?
No. Xbox Support can't transfer a redeemed code to another Microsoft account. Sign in to that account on your Xbox or PC to play.
Does the same key work on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?
The code lands on your account either way. Whether the game runs on your console depends on the game, so check the product page before you buy.
