About this game
Players control Sam, an American soldier separated from Artyom's group, as he searches for a way home through a frozen Vladivostok setting in one episode, and command Duke and Barmen, two colonels investigating a hidden Volga sect, in the other. Each episode plays through the same survival shooting and stealth systems as the main game, with crafting, weapon degradation, and a day night cycle carried over. The two stories run several hours apiece and can be played once the base campaign is installed.
- Two Story Episodes Sam's Story and The Two Colonels add separate playable characters and settings.
- Survival Shooting Combat mixes stealth, scavenged ammunition, and makeshift weapon repairs.
- New Locations Each episode is set in an area not visited during the main campaign.
- Extended Playtime Together the episodes add several hours beyond the core story.
