DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One

The player fights through new levels packed with demon enemies using the same fast, aggressive combat loop as the base game, combining guns, melee finishers, and resource management where killing enemies in specific ways restocks ammo, health, and armor. New enemy types and environmental hazards are introduced alongside existing demon variants, forcing fresh approaches even for players familiar with the base campaign's encounters.

The story pushes the Slayer into new locations connected to the setting's mythology, escalating the stakes established at the end of the base campaign, with cutscenes and lore entries expanding on the setting's backstory. Level design leans further into vertical platforming sections mixed with large combat arenas compared to earlier chapters.
