Sessions can be played solo with computer-controlled teammates, or online with up to three other players. More than fifteen playable characters are on offer, each with a different perk or skill. Choices range from stealthier movement to sharper clue detection, shaping how a group tackles a scenario. Six distinct scenarios set the search in different locations and layouts, so encounters with the creature change from one round to the next. After a run ends, a replay screen lets the team rewatch everyone's path. That replay helps explain how a chase went wrong or where a clue got missed. The tone favors slow-building dread over constant action. Long stretches of searching break into sudden, frantic escapes once the creature closes in. Detection often comes down to sound and sightlines rather than combat, so careful movement and communication with teammates matter as much as knowing where to look.
