Don't Be Afraid

The player wakes inside a labyrinthine mansion built by a child killer known as Franklin and must find a way out before he returns. Exploration drives the game, with locked doors, hidden passages and environmental puzzles blocking the path forward, while notes and cassette tapes scattered through the rooms slowly reveal what happened to earlier victims.

Combat is not the focus. The tension comes from a first-person perspective inside dim, cluttered rooms, jump scares tied to specific triggers, and a constant awareness that the killer could return at any moment. Solving each puzzle opens further sections of the house and moves the story of the boy's kidnapping closer to its ending.

• First-Person Exploration The player walks through the mansion at ground level, examining objects and searching rooms for clues and supplies.
• Environmental Puzzles Locked doors and hidden passages require solving physical puzzles scattered through the house to keep progressing.
• Story Through Objects Notes and cassette tapes found around the house piece together the killer's past and the fate of previous captives.
• Constant Threat The captor can appear without warning, forcing the player to stay alert while exploring each new room.
