Losing a fight to the creature does not end a round for an investigator, since they rise as a ghost with altered movement and support abilities. This lets them keep helping their remaining teammates find tapes and survive. Progression unlocks a roster of investigator characters and flashlights, each with different specializations, so players can lean toward stealthier or faster play styles. Matches run through matchmaking for quick sessions with friends or strangers on either side of the hunt. This complete package bundles the core game with six add-on characters for the creature role, adding a wider variety of monsters and their unique abilities to the horror side from the start.
