Reveil

He wakes disoriented and searching for his missing wife Martha and daughter Dorie, with no clear sense of what is real. Play is first-person exploration across five acts, moving through environments that start out grounded and grow steadily more nightmarish. Early spaces use natural and artificial light and familiar layouts, while later ones twist into maze-like corridors washed in blood-red tones and dim, uneasy lighting. Progress comes from solving environmental puzzles and riddles woven into the circus setting rather than from combat, since Walter carries no weapon. When the surroundings turn threatening, running and crouching are the only ways to get past whatever is stalking the halls. Walter's own history returns piece by piece: he once worked as a stage builder for a traveling circus, and that job connects directly to what happened to his family. The result is a story where memory, imagination, and the present blur together, and figuring out which is which becomes the central puzzle.
