White Night

The player explores a decaying mansion, striking matches and switching on lamps to illuminate dark rooms and reveal hidden paths while avoiding spectral threats that lurk in the shadows. Puzzles revolve around managing a limited supply of light sources, since lingering too long in darkness invites danger while careless overuse of light can also expose the player to threats nearby. The high-contrast, film-noir visual style and constant tension around light management separate it from horror games built around a conventional flashlight.

• Light as Mechanic Use matches and lamps to reveal paths and solve puzzles.
• High-Contrast Visuals Explore a mansion rendered in stark black-and-white film-noir style.
• Resource Management Conserve limited light sources to survive supernatural threats.
• Narrative Exploration Uncover the history of the mansion through environmental storytelling.
