Requiem Avenging Angel

Heaven and Hell are at open war. The Fallen have seized the planet and are driving enslaved humans to build the Leviathan, a vast ship meant to carry an assault back into Heaven. You take the role of Malachi, dispatched to wreck that project, free the survivors and push the demons back. Levels run through ruined cities, industrial complexes and hellish otherworlds, mixing firefights with scripted set pieces and human characters who speak with you between battles. Combat pairs conventional weapons with angelic powers, and the powers are what set it apart. Seven guns cover the usual range, among them the Trinity combat shotgun, the Beelzebomb grenade launcher and the Revelations railgun. Alongside them you cast abilities that change how a fight is fought. Possession lets you take over an enemy body and turn its weapon on its allies, while turn to salt petrifies a target outright and bloodboil kills from the inside. Locust swarms strip a group, holy light burns the unholy, and lightning arcs between foes. Flight lifts you over ground you cannot cross. Powers draw on a limited spirit pool, so you decide when gunfire is enough and when a miracle is worth spending.
