Quake 4

Players fight through Strogg-infested industrial complexes and organic hive structures, using an arsenal that ranges from a basic machine gun to plasma-based and railgun-type weapons. Midway through the campaign, the story takes a dark turn as the player's character is captured and forcibly transformed into a Strogg soldier before continuing the fight from a changed perspective.

Vehicle sections and squad-based firefights alongside fellow human marines break up the corridor-based shooting, adding variety to the pacing between tighter indoor combat and more open battlefield sequences.

• Forced Transformation The story includes the player character being turned into a Strogg.
