About this game
Playing as Fred, the player explores gore-drenched ruins in search of answers while physically wielding shotguns, machetes and flamethrowers with tracked motion controllers. A dismemberment system lets each hit visibly cut down an enemy in different ways, and Buddy fights alongside the player as a combat companion rather than a passive sidekick.
The campaign supports two players working through the story together, and a separate horde mode pits up to four players against escalating waves across maps added over time. This Deluxe Edition adds three cosmetic-only bonuses on top of the base game: an undead-themed skin for Buddy. A Fred Flesh hand skin that turns the player's hands into zombie claws, and a matching dog-themed weapon charm.
- Melee and Firearms Combat The player physically swings machetes and fires shotguns and flamethrowers using tracked motion controllers.
- Dismemberment System A gore system tracks damage so enemies can be cut down in visibly different ways.
- Canine Combat Companion Buddy the dog fights alongside the player rather than staying on the sidelines.
- Co-op Modes A two-player campaign and a four-player horde mode let friends fight through the story or survive waves together.
- Deluxe Cosmetics This edition adds an undead Buddy skin, a Fred Flesh hand skin and a dog-themed weapon charm, all purely cosmetic.
This edition includes
- Undead Buddy companion skin
- Fred Flesh hand skin
- Dog-themed weapon charm
