Ambition

Players explore each dungeon and face off against a powerful boss guarding its depths. Combat is turn-based, and preparation matters as much as the fight itself. Between dungeon runs, players gather spells, potions and equipment to strengthen their character. Each of the four dungeons escalates in difficulty, pushing players to return to the village and gear up before trying again. The five bosses each have distinct designs and attack patterns, from a one-eyed turtle in a tophat to a giant desert centipede. The village hub ties the four dungeons together and gives players a base to return to between runs. Hand-drawn pixel art and an original soundtrack carry the presentation throughout. The game is built for a single player working through its dungeons and bosses at their own pace. The result is a compact strategy RPG built around a handful of tough, memorable boss fights rather than a sprawling world to wander.
