Survive the Fall

Players lead a small group of survivors, alternating between building up a home base and sending expeditions out into a dangerous open world. Base-building covers more than 30 facility types, including farms, kitchens, research labs, and shelters, each expanding what the settlement can produce or research. Expeditions are led with up to three companions at a time, each carrying their own gear, health, and abilities that shape how a mission plays out. Combat can be approached head-on, issuing commands to a small squad in real time, or handled through stealth, disarming traps and setting up ambushes instead. Scavenging fuels the loop: players gather materials from ruins and the wilderness, then craft weapons, gear, and survival items back at camp. The world is split among warring factions, including the fungus-covered Shroomers, and choice-driven quests shape how those relationships develop over time. Environmental storytelling and NPC dialogue slowly reveal what caused civilization's collapse and the nature of the mysterious phenomenon called Stasis. Progress depends on balancing both halves of the loop, since a stronger base supports longer expeditions, and successful expeditions bring back the resources a base needs to grow.
