Combat plays out from a top-down perspective across arenas built from modular pieces, so no two fights use quite the same layout. Players choose from a roster of weapons, including a howitzer. A shotgun and a precision phaser, then combine them with optional gameplay modules that adjust enemy behavior, arena hazards and overall difficulty before a match begins.

Enemies and arenas are assembled from a large pool of interchangeable pieces, producing thousands of possible pairings so encounters rarely repeat in the same way twice. Up to four players can team up on one screen, and online leaderboards track scores for players who want to compare runs after a match ends.
