The Forgotten Land

A band of companions sets out in search of the legendary Forgotten Land, and every fight along the way plays out as a matching puzzle. You line up tiles to strike enemies, block their counterattacks, and charge the special powers of your heroes. Turns carry no timer, so each move can be weighed calmly, and the smartest line often beats the fastest one. Special effects add tactical wrinkles: you can leave traces of fire, hunt the right items to pass through portals, and drive foes away with new powers. Outside combat you build up a sheltering camp, upgrading it to unlock bonuses that carry into battle. Heroes level individually, so developing the right abilities for coming threats becomes its own layer of planning. Difficulty rises steadily, asking for cleverer matches and better-prepared teams rather than quick fingers. Mini-games break up the campaign with lighter challenges. The result suits players who like their puzzles with stakes: every match moved is also a tactical decision in a fight.
