Talisman - The Woodland Expansion

In the base game, each player rolls dice to move a character token around a spiral board, battling monsters and drawing fate and adventure cards. Along the way they gather strength, craft and gold, working toward the Crown of Command at the center of the board. The Woodland expansion adds a new zone to that board: a forest kingdom with its own path cards and a Meeting with Destiny space. It also introduces dedicated fate rules that replace the base game's defaults. A Light and Dark Fate system lets a player either bank a bonus for their own character or spend fate tokens to sabotage a rival's die roll. Entering the zone means drawing a path card that decides how that visit plays out. Five new characters ship with the expansion, each built around a different woodland mechanic. One grows in power over successive turns, one collects totem spirit tokens, one teleports through portals, one lays webs to hinder rivals, and one specializes in avoiding hidden dangers on the path. Three additional endings open up once the woodland is unlocked, including a pair of boss encounters against seasonal fae rulers. Over a hundred new cards support the woodland across its path, destiny and event decks.
