About this game
It requires the base game, Talisman: Digital Edition, to play and cannot be run on its own. In the base game, players choose a character and race around a board, drawing adventure cards and battling for the Crown of Command. This expansion is set long after the Cataclysm nearly destroyed that world, replacing familiar locations with ruined buildings and wandering survivors. New Talisman Cards act as magic objects that unlock the board's inner zone, while Denizen Cards bring wandering merchants and mystics who trade items, strength or craft. Remnant Cards are placed face down on the board as ancient treasures or creatures waiting to be uncovered, and Terrain Cards change how individual spaces work. The expansion adds several new win conditions, including a Cult of the Damned cooperative challenge and a Lands of Wonder path built on collecting a set of twelve mixed cards. Five new characters join the roster for this era: the Arcane Scion, Barbarian, Black Knight, Mutant and Scavenger, each with distinct abilities.
