Sherlock Holmes - Nemesis

A skilled thief has begun stealing famous treasures from London landmarks while taunting Scotland Yard with cryptic clues, and the player must catch him before the trail runs cold. Play alternates between Holmes, his companion Doctor Watson and an inspector, each visiting real museum halls, galleries and grand houses rendered in detail. Investigation is the core loop: examine scenes for evidence and pick up and combine over a hundred objects. From there, work through hundreds of documents and clues to piece together how each crime happened. There is no combat; progress depends entirely on close observation, logical deduction and correctly interpreting the physical evidence left at each scene. The game leans heavily toward puzzle-solving over dialogue and narration, so most of the playtime is spent piecing together how each theft was carried out. Each solved case brings the detective closer to identifying the thief and stopping the next theft before it happens.
