Shame Legacy

The player wakes with no memory in this remote settlement and quickly realizes they are being hunted by its villagers. Survival depends on stealth, moving quietly and staying out of sight while searching the village for clues to its dark history. Puzzles gate progress throughout the village, and the player must solve them to uncover the truth behind their own connection to the place. A cane serves as the only means of defense when villagers close in, letting the player fend off an attacker and break away. Being spotted does not end a run immediately, since a fast escape can still let the player slip free and keep moving. The protagonist's mental state also matters, and rising stress can be eased through moments of rest scattered around the village. Atmosphere and tension drive the experience more than direct combat, rewarding careful movement and observation over confrontation.
