Sea of Stars

The player controls a party that explores an overworld on foot and by boat, climbing, swimming and solving light puzzles between turn-based battles fought against enemies visible on the field rather than through random encounters.

Combat rewards timed button presses on both attacks and defense, and features a combo mechanic where landing sun and moon attacks in sequence breaks enemy locks to prevent them from casting their own abilities.

The game borrows structure from classic 16-bit era role-playing games while adding modern conveniences such as no required grinding and a cooking system that prepares temporary combat buffs.

• Timed Combat Inputs Button timing improves both attack damage and defensive blocking.
• Combo Lock System Sun and moon attacks in sequence interrupt enemy abilities.
• Visible Field Enemies Battles start from enemies seen on the map, not random encounters.
• Overworld Traversal Climb, swim and sail a boat between areas.
• Cooking System Prepare food that grants temporary buffs before battle.
