Road 96

Each playthrough randomly assembles episodes from a pool of characters, drivers and roadside events, so the order of encounters and some of the people met change between sessions even when replaying the same overall story.

Along the way the player makes dialogue and action choices during rides, at checkpoints and inside small towns, and these choices affect both the fate of the current hitchhiker and the growing political unrest playing out across the country. Short minigames such as driving, hiding from patrols or exploring abandoned buildings break up the conversations.

• Procedural Episode Structure Story segments are drawn from a pool and reassembled differently each run.
• Multiple Hitchhikers The player takes control of a new teenage traveler in each episode.
• Branching Dialogue Choices Conversations with drivers and locals shape character fates.
• Roadside Minigames Short driving, hiding and puzzle sequences occur along the journey.
