Play unfolds as a sequence of richly detailed, hand-drawn scenes: each location is packed with everyday clutter, and the player scans it for a list of specific hidden objects. Items found in one scene are carried in an inventory and combined or used elsewhere to unlock new areas and conversations. Between hidden-object searches, standalone logic puzzles and short skill-based challenges break up the pace and gate progress into later chapters. The investigation moves between the castle grounds and the surrounding town, tracing the king's final days and the people around him who had reason to want him gone.
