Mountain Crime: Requital

You play a doctor called up to treat a patient who finds a body instead. The weather cuts the hotel off, which leaves you shut in with whoever is responsible. Progress comes from searching rooms, corridors and outbuildings for hidden items, then using what you gather to open the next part of the building. Puzzle sequences break up the searching, built on mechanical locks, pattern matching and small logic problems. Newspaper clippings and letters found along the way fill in the hotel's history and eventually your own connection to the place. A travel map shows which locations still have something waiting, so backtracking stays manageable. Characters are fully voiced, and conversations let you pick what to ask them.
