Legacy of Kain: Defiance

Players alternate between the two characters across linear levels, each with a distinct fighting style, weapon set, and special abilities tied to their nature. Raziel can shift between the material world and the spectral realm to reach new areas, dodge certain attacks, and solve environmental puzzles blocking his path. The story closes out a long-running vampire mythology, resolving threads about betrayal, fate, and the corrupted land of Nosgoth built up across earlier entries in the series.

• Dual Protagonists Players switch control between Kain and Raziel, each with separate combat styles.
• Plane Shifting Raziel moves between a material and a spectral realm to bypass obstacles and enemies.
• Weapon-based Combat Melee combat uses combos, blocks, and weapon upgrades against varied enemy types.
• Environmental Puzzles Levels mix combat encounters with puzzles that require the plane-shift mechanic to solve.
