Players control Timmy Malinu, a numb, unassuming actuary who is visited by a Grim Reaper and told his head will be cut off by day's end, though not when, where or how. Rather than fight back, Timmy sets out for home, chasing his one remaining wish: to die peacefully in his own bed, in his pajamas, with no drama. The core loop leans on trial and error. Each side-scrolling level is packed with hidden traps and hazards that kill Timmy in one hit. Players study the pattern of each threat and adjust their route on repeated attempts. Death is not a fail state so much as a teaching tool, resetting Timmy at the start of the hazard so the player can try a smarter approach. The game pairs this arcade-style challenge with a hand-drawn cartoon art style and a dark comic tone, using Timmy's predicament to explore mortality and acceptance without turning grim. A soundtrack pulled from a range of independent bands and genres plays throughout, shifting with the tone of each level Timmy passes through.
