About this game

The player leads a rotating cast of over a dozen playable characters, each with distinct abilities, across an overworld split by a cataclysmic event partway through the story. Combat uses the Active Time Battle system, where turns fill based on a timer, and characters can equip Magicite to learn spells and summon Espers. The remaster updates the visuals and audio while keeping the original turn structure and story beats intact.

Active Time Battle Turn order fills on individual timers rather than strict alternating turns.
Large Ensemble Cast Over a dozen playable characters each bring unique skills and personal storylines.
Esper Magic System Equipping Magicite lets characters learn spells and summon powerful Espers in battle.
Redrawn Pixel Art Character and environment sprites are redrawn at higher resolution for this version.
