About this game
Players explore hand-drawn environments, collect and combine items in an inventory, and talk to a cast of eccentric characters to work through puzzles and advance the plot. Rufus's self-serving schemes regularly backfire in comedic ways, and the writing keeps a lighthearted, satirical tone across its dialogue and puzzle sequences. Underneath the humor, the story sets up a larger conflict about class divisions between the polluted surface world of Deponia and a pristine floating city hanging in the sky above it.
- Hand-Drawn Art Detailed 2D backgrounds and character animation throughout.
- Inventory Puzzles Combine and use items to solve environmental puzzles.
- Comedic Dialogue Humor-driven writing carries most conversations and cutscenes.
- Eccentric Cast Memorable side characters populate the junk-strewn world.
