Cassette Beasts

Players explore an island made up of distinct biomes, encountering creatures that can be captured on tape rather than owned outright, meaning any tape can be used by any character. In battle, a player transforms into the recorded monster to fight directly, with type matchups and status effects driving strategy.

Two captured monster forms can be fused together mid-battle to create a combined creature with mixed abilities and stats, adding a layer not found in straightforward capture-and-battle designs. The game also supports local co-op, letting a second player join the same world and battles.

• Monster Recording Wild creatures are captured on cassette tapes rather than owned as individual pets.
• Transformation Combat Players turn into recorded monsters to fight directly in turn-based battles.
• Fusion System Two monster forms can be combined mid-battle into a single fused creature.
• Local Co-op A second player can join the same world and battles.
