Call of Cthulhu

The player explores environments searching for clues, interviews suspects, and chooses dialogue options and skill checks tied to attributes like investigation, strength, or persuasion, unlocking different paths through the story based on which skills are developed. As the detective encounters disturbing sights and forbidden knowledge, a sanity system tracks the character's mental state, causing hallucinations and altered perception when it drops too low.

Stealth sections require avoiding cultists and other threats without direct combat, and the story branches based on the player's choices and skill investments, leading to multiple possible endings tied to the fate of the investigation.

• Skill-Based Investigation Develop attributes like investigation and persuasion that open different dialogue and story paths.
• Sanity System Track the detective's mental state, which affects perception as it drops.
• Branching Story Reach multiple different endings based on choices and skills.
• Stealth Encounters Avoid cultists and threats without relying on direct combat.
