Bloomtown: A Different Story

Players follow a girl and her younger brother sent to stay with their grandfather for the summer. They soon discover that children are vanishing and the town's cheerful surface hides something wrong. Beneath the streets lies a demon world called the Underside, where residents' hidden fears and vices take monstrous shape. Combat is turn-based and tactical: the party fights alongside captured demons, using elemental weaknesses and ability combinations to defeat enemies drawn from that hidden world. Outside of battle, players explore the town, work part-time jobs for spending money and tend a garden. They also build relationships with a growing cast of friends who unlock new skills and story content. A fusion system lets captured demons be combined into new, more powerful forms, encouraging experimentation with team composition across a long campaign. The tone deliberately contrasts a warm, nostalgic small-town setting against a darker mystery unfolding underneath it, and the pace shifts between quiet daily-life scenes and tense dungeon crawls through the Underside.
