About this game

The player walks Blacksad through a stylized noir city, questioning witnesses and suspects, examining crime scenes, and choosing dialogue that affects how other characters react to him. Investigation scenes let the player piece together clues at a scene before deciding how to proceed, and several points in the story branch based on earlier choices, changing later scenes and the ending reached. The game recreates the comic's visual style with cel-shaded character models and heavy use of light and shadow to match its hardboiled detective tone.

Detective Investigation Examine scenes and question characters to gather clues.
Branching Dialogue Choices affect later scenes and the story's outcome.
Comic Book Art Style Cel-shaded visuals recreate the source comic's look.
Noir Setting A stylized city populated by anthropomorphic animal characters.
