Battles are turn-based: each round the player deploys one warrior and one support card, and units then advance and strike automatically. Decks are built from four factions, mixing frontline and ranged warriors with equipment cards and support spells. Cards can be freely tested and swapped between fights, and they gain new abilities as the story progresses. Individual battles are hand-built with different win conditions, such as capturing checkpoints, defending a commander or winning a duel. The field often includes hazards and power runes that reward careful positioning. Outside combat, the game shifts into RPG-style conversations where dialogue choices affect relationships and the plot. These choices accumulate across the campaign and lead to one of many possible endings, so replaying the tournament can tell a different story. The result ties tactical deckbuilding to the choices made in every conversation.
