Anachronox

Players explore a variety of planets and space stations, talking to non-player characters, completing quests, and recruiting party members with distinct personalities and abilities, including a miniaturized planet named Democratus that travels along as a party member. Combat uses a turn-based system layered with a real-time reflex element that lets players land extra damage by timing button presses during attacks. Throughout the story, dialogue leans heavily on humor and satire even as the plot escalates into a larger threat involving ancient alien technology capable of unraveling reality itself.

• Turn-Based Combat Battles combine turn order with reflex-timed attacks for bonus damage.
• Unusual Party Members Recruits include an entire planet shrunk to pocket size.
• Multiple Worlds Explore distinct planets and stations with their own cultures and quests.
• Comedic Writing Dialogue mixes humor with an escalating science-fiction plot.
