How to buy a game key for someone else

You can buy a key for someone else, as long as it matches their platform and region, not yours. You pay, the key arrives in your email, and you send it to them to redeem on their own account.
Match their account, not yours
- Platform. Ask which platform they play on. A key only works on its own platform.
- Region. Ask where their account is set. A Global key works on an account in any region, and a region key needs an account in its region. Each platform keeps the region in a different place: check an account's region.
- Edition. If it's DLC or an upgrade, they need the base game on the same account, and usually on the same store.
Buying a key for another region
Choose the version for their account's region with Change in the buy box. If it's for a region that isn't yours, we ask you to confirm before it goes in your cart. And if you've told Andalu your own region, the buy box warns you that the key won't activate on your account: that's expected when the key is for them.
Passing the key on
Instant delivery: your key arrives by email, and your order page shows its progress. Send it to them from the email for your order, and don't redeem it yourself first. Most platforms can't move a redeemed key to another account: Steam, for one, ties an activated key to that account permanently.
Buying for more than one friend? A multi-pack is several copies of one game, like a 2-pack: one for you and the rest for friends. How the copies arrive depends on the platform, for example Steam multi-packs.
If it doesn't work for them
The order is yours, so contact us with your order number. A key that doesn't match what its listing said is a fault we fix: buyer protection replaces or refunds it within 24 hours of delivery. A key that works as sold but was bought for the wrong account isn't a fault, so we'll look at it but can't promise a refund.
If the platform refused it, the key hasn't been redeemed, so it can still be redeemed on an account in the key's region.
