Why does my PlayStation Network account region matter for key activation?

Every PlayStation code belongs to one store region, and PlayStation only redeems it on an account from that region. Your account's country or region is set when you create it and can't be changed later. So check your account's region against the region on the product page before you buy.

Before you start

  • Know which PlayStation account you'll redeem on. The region belongs to the account, so each account on a console can have its own.

  • Have the game's page on Andalu open, to compare.

Check your region on the PlayStation Store website

  1. 1

Go to the PlayStation Store website and sign in.

  2. 2

Select your profile picture at the top of the page.

  3. 3

Select Storefront Country. It shows your account's country or region.

  4. 4

Select Edit under Residential Address. Your country or region is part of that address.

Compare it with the product page

  1. 1

Open the game's page on Andalu.

  2. 2

Scroll to How activation works. A code for one region says which accounts it works on: "This key activates only on a PlayStation account set to Europe."

The How activation works section of an Andalu product page, with the note This key activates only on a PlayStation account set to Europe ringed
  3. 3

Buy only the version for your account's region. Select Change in the buy box to see the regions we have.
