About this game
The base game casts you as a new mind waking inside a body once used by the Changing God, a being who has escaped death for a very long time. You fall from orbit into the Ninth World, a far-future setting where the leftovers of vanished civilizations pass for magic. Conversation, judgement and choice carry more weight than combat, and the companions who travel with you hold motives that are not always yours. A creature called the Sorrow hunts what the Changing God left behind. This add-on supplies one piece of armour, described as dense hide and sturdy plating shaped out of your own thoughts and given form by your intent. It suits a character who fights at close quarters, in the manner of a glaive. Worn, it grants five Armor, two Resistance and a ten percent boost to all attacks, with the synthetic musculature bound into it accounting for that added strength. This is a single item rather than new story content, so it changes how a character holds up in a fight instead of opening new places to visit. It requires the base game Torment: Tides of Numenera to play.
