There Is No Light | Enhanced Edition

Survivors of humanity now follow a new religious order built in the ruins below, worshipping a New God called the Great Hand and forgetting the sun ever existed. Every few years the Hand descends and takes chosen newborns to a hidden sanctuary, and the player's own child is one of them. As the Hero, the player fights through the underground to open the sanctuary's gates and get their child back. Combat centers on switching between four main weapons on the fly, each with its own dedicated skill tree and upgrade path. The journey runs roughly 25 hours and includes over 70 enemy types and bosses across a pixel-art underground world. More than 1,000 lines of branching dialogue and a karma system let choices reshape the state of the world and steer the story toward one of several endings.
