The LEGO Movie Videogame

This is an action-adventure platformer that lets players build, break, and battle their way through a world made entirely of LEGO bricks, following the story of an animated film about an ordinary construction worker mistaken for a chosen hero. Players control Emmet and a rotating cast of characters, each with special abilities like grappling, drilling, or flight, needed to solve environmental puzzles and reach hidden areas. Nearly everything in the world can be smashed into studs, which are collected as currency to unlock new characters and vehicles. Master Builder sequences let capable characters assemble ordinary bricks into functional constructions on the fly, such as ladders, machines, or vehicles, to progress through levels. Combat is simple and forgiving, mixing brick-based enemies with light platforming challenges and comedic slapstick animations true to the film's tone. Levels recreate key movie settings, from bustling cityscapes to Wild West towns and futuristic worlds, each hiding collectibles, red bricks that grant gameplay modifiers, and side objectives for completionists. Two-player local cooperative play lets a second character join at any time, making exploration and puzzle-solving a shared experience throughout the adventure.
