STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R

Players control Claude or Rena, each offering a different starting perspective and party interactions, as they travel across a world blending medieval fantasy settings with science-fiction elements like spaceships and advanced technology. Combat takes place in real time on open battlefields, with parties of up to four characters using physical attacks and special skills.

A deep crafting and item-creation system lets players gather materials to synthesize weapons, armor, and consumables outside of combat, adding a layer of preparation and experimentation to progression. The remake presents the original story with updated visuals and combat refinements while preserving the branching relationship and ending system tied to player choices throughout the journey.

• Dual Protagonists Players choose between Claude and Rena, each with a different opening story.
• Real-Time Battles Party-based combat plays out in real time on open fields.
• Item Creation A crafting system lets players synthesize weapons, armor, and items from gathered materials.
• Branching Relationships Character interactions affect available endings and party dynamics.
