About this game

The player selects a fighter and battles through arcade ladders, online matches, or the story-driven Soul Chronicle mode, which retells the series' history across two rival timelines. A separate mode called Libra of Souls lets the player build a custom character, take on quests, and battle across a branching map while collecting new weapons and gear.

Combat uses the series' signature eight-way run movement and a reversal edge system, which lets a defending fighter absorb an attack and answer with a counter tied to their weapon type. A detailed character creator allows players to design original fighters using the game's existing weapon styles.

Reversal Edge Absorb an incoming attack and counter with a weapon-specific follow-up.
Soul Chronicle Replay the series' story across two rival timelines.
Libra of Souls Build a custom fighter and progress through a branching quest map.
Character Creator Design original fighters using existing weapon movesets and gear.
Eight-Way Run Move freely around the arena in eight directions during combat.
