About this game
Encore Mode introduces a remixed version of the game's Zone-based level layout, along with two newly playable characters, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, each with their own movement abilities that open up new routes and shortcuts through familiar and reworked stages. Players race through loops, springs, and hazard-filled levels at high speed, collecting rings, defeating enemies, and searching for hidden paths, while a tag-team mechanic lets players switch between two characters on the fly to combine their abilities. The remixed stage order and altered layouts give returning players fresh challenges even if they've completed the base game's Zones before, while the new characters change how familiar levels can be approached and completed. It's built for fans of the base platformer who want extra replay value through new characters and a reshuffled take on the game's core Zones, rather than an entirely new story.
