Deadlight Director's Cut

Randall Wayne, a former park ranger, moves through the ruins of the city on foot, running, jumping, wall-jumping, climbing, and hanging from ledges to get past danger rather than through it. Levels are built to reward avoiding the infected, known as Shadows, rather than fighting through them. A fire axe, a revolver, and a shotgun are available for the moments combat is unavoidable, but ammunition stays scarce throughout, and a taunt ability can lure enemies into environmental traps instead. A slingshot tool opens up environmental puzzles, and stamina and health have to be managed alongside collectible power-ups along the way. This Director's Cut adds a Survival Arena mode on top of the story campaign, along with reworked controls, new animations, and sharper visuals throughout. The tone stays grim and cinematic, closer to a side-scrolling movie than a typical shooter, right through to its ambiguous ending.
