Rain World

The player must find food and shelter before a recurring, deadly rainstorm floods the world, all while avoiding numerous predators that hunt and behave independently of the player. Movement relies on physics-based climbing, jumping and crawling through pipes and vertical structures, with no combat system strong enough to guarantee survival against most creatures. The world runs on an ecosystem simulation where creatures hunt each other and react to the player's presence, so each area can play out differently depending on what has already happened there.

• Ecosystem simulation Creatures hunt, eat and react to each other independently of the player.
• Survival cycle The player must find shelter before each recurring rain event floods the area.
• Physics-based movement The slugcat climbs, jumps and crawls using a momentum-driven movement system.
• Predator variety Numerous creature types behave with distinct movement and hunting patterns.
