Outward Definitive Edition

The player starts with modest equipment and must earn money through jobs, trade or dungeon exploration to afford better gear, since character progression comes from equipment and learned skills rather than experience points and levels. Cooperative play lets a second player join the same world, sharing quests, camp management and combat encounters.

This edition bundles the base game with previously released expansion content and adds quality of life changes such as improved combat feedback and additional camping options. Survival mechanics remain central throughout: setting up camp, cooking food and treating injuries are necessary between fights, and failure states like capture or debt replace simple death screens in many situations.

• Survival Mechanics Manage hunger, temperature and fatigue while exploring the open world.
• Equipment-Based Progression Improve the character through gear and learned skills instead of levels.
• Cooperative Play Share quests, camp management and combat with a second player.
• Alternative Failure States Face capture, debt or other consequences instead of standard death screens.
• Bundled Expansion Content Includes previously released expansion campaigns alongside the base game.
