About this game
Players control Ash, a man burdened by a strange affliction, as he explores a snow-covered open landscape searching for resources, shelter, and other survivors to bring back to a growing base camp. Managing the camp involves assigning tasks, handling illness and morale, and deciding how to treat companions who each have their own needs and opinions. Combat against wolves and larger supernatural creatures relies on stamina and weapon durability, while a recurring nightmare-like threat known as the Voice tests the player's choices over repeated attempts at survival.
- Survivor Camp Management Assigns tasks and resources to companions at a home base.
- Harsh Weather Survival Cold and storms threaten the player outside of shelter.
- Companion Relationships Survivors have individual needs and can be lost permanently.
- Creature Combat Fights wolves and larger supernatural enemies with limited gear.
- Recurring Threat A malevolent force periodically challenges the camp's survival.
