Onee Chanbara

Aya hunts the undead that have overrun the city while searching for her missing sister, and Saki seeks revenge and a way to bring their mother back through a dark ritual. Combat runs at a fast, fluid pace built around sword strikes, dodges and combo chains against waves of undead enemies. Missions are structured as discrete stages rather than one continuous level, and a third playable character, Lei, joins the roster alongside the two sisters. Players can unlock a wide range of costumes and weapons for each character, along with extra bonus missions and music tracks that extend play beyond the main story. The remaster rebuilds the original two games in high definition while keeping the same over-the-top, gore-heavy tone of the series. Each sister plays with a distinct fighting style and weapon set, so switching between them changes how a stage is approached.
