Mount & Blade

Players create a custom character and travel across an open world map, taking on quests, trading goods, and recruiting troops to form a personal army. Combat is controlled directly rather than resolved automatically, with players aiming and swinging weapons, blocking attacks, and commanding mounted charges against enemy soldiers on open battlefields. Beyond combat, players can pledge loyalty to one of several warring factions, manage a growing group of followers, and eventually acquire land and titles as their reputation grows.

• Direct Combat Control Players personally aim melee strikes, blocks, and ranged shots rather than relying on automated rolls.
• Mounted Warfare Horseback combat lets players charge, flank, and use lances or bows while riding.
• Faction Politics Players can join warring factions and rise through their ranks.
• Troop Recruitment Building and equipping a personal army is central to expanding influence.
